Hello again guys!

I’ve missed you!  I’ve been working hard with the team doing a lot of exciting stuff for all of our San Diego SEO clients and checking out some of the cool businesses in the city.

Well, after a very tiring but marvelous December, I have a fridge full of leftovers and the perfect topic to get you all hyped up for this New Year and get me back into the blogging horse. We are going to talk about downtown San Diego shopping!

You might already know this, but January is the perfect month to buy stuff.

After the massive buying spree most of us engage in through December; retailers are usually stuck with some inventory leftover from the holidays. This can become a serious problem for stores with large quantities of things that need to be sold before the season ends or to make room for new collections or products, and the best way they usually find to accomplish this is through sales.

Drive by almost any store in January, and you’ll see the big signs and stickers promoting their huge discount prices or their “on-sale” items. Which is nothing short of a boon for a shopaholic like me.

Anyway, my friend Anne is coming to town next week and this time I’ve gotten a little more serious about the whole thing. I promised I would take her to the best locations downtown to do some shopping, so I got talking with some friends and doing some exploration, and I’ve narrowed it down to a few awesome places that I thought I should share with all of you.

So, if you are looking forward to banishing that little extra cash that survived the holidays, pay attention, because here are the three best places to get your downtown San Diego shopping done!

Lolo Boutique

Lolo is without a doubt, one of my favorite shopping spots in San Diego, I’m pretty much obsessed with everything I see in there.

You can find anything from cute clothes, accessories, outfits, and decoration, but the thing that stands out the most is their excellent service. They take the time and effort to pay attention to what you’re looking for and assist you to find the gem you are after (and the accessories to go with it).

If you are looking for cute clothes, a new pair of boots, and an overall fantastic buying experience, make sure to take a stop at Lolo Boutique. I can guarantee you won’t walk out of there empty-handed.

Seaport Village

Seaport Village is actually one of the places I’m most excited to take Anne when she gets here.

Not only is it a beautiful, touristy location in the conventions area part of Downtown, but it’s also the perfect place to engage in some serious shopping on a weekend afternoon.

Just wander about the walkways and take in the scenery, stop to grab a bite in one of the many stands with delicious food, and cap it all up by purchasing a few things from the countless retail locales down there. The perfect day.

Parking can be tricky though, especially on weekends with nice weather so plan accordingly.

I’m a child of the eighties. As such, there’s an eternal place of love in my heart for all things pop-culture related to that decade, and so is Anne’s boyfriend, who’s also coming along.

In no place can you geek-out and bask in that delicious 80’s and 90’s nostalgia better than in Super7.

Anything from throwback toys and collectible figurines, pop culture clothing, merchandise, old movie posters, pins and more! You can find it all under one roof there. Once more, I challenge you to go down there and come out of the store without something in your hands.

Well, there you have it!

These are just a few of the things I’ve got planned for Anne and me once she gets down here. However, this list is by no means exhaustive (I have like eight other, unique little places we’ll be visiting), but it should be enough to get your downtown San Diego shopping started on the right track.

Next time you are here, take a look at one or all of these stores and you’ll have a great time.  Also, don’t miss my stuff on coffee shops downtown San Diego and things to do downtown San Diego, I know you’ll love them!
