A Regular Visitor’s Perspective

Hello again guys and gals, hope you are doing great recovering from that holiday season and starting all those new year’s resolution with the right foot.

As I write this, I certainly am! Since one of my resolutions for this year was to make the time to blog on a more regular basis.

I’m sales representative for a big company, which has me traveling around the country on a monthly basis, usually staying a few weeks everywhere I go. Since I’m a nomad at heart, that suits me just right. And given that I love to talk to people about my travels, recommend places to visit, things to see, that sort of thing…. I put two and two together and realized it gave me great material to talk to you guys about!

I’ve been currently staying in Tucson, AZ, meeting my Tucson SEO clients. For the past two weeks, and I have to say that I’m charmed by it.

It just feels so different than most other places I go to in the states. So, to begin this blogging adventure, I put together a short compilation of things to do in Tucson and places to do shopping in Tucson, which I think are guaranteed to give you a lot of great times and fun memories when you are visiting here like myself.

See If Your Business
Qualifies To Work With OTT.

We have inspired and motivated business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals around the world for the past few years, and we’ve designed apps that both boost brand awareness and drives productivity off the charts. However, we realized that we couldn’t help everyone. and the truth is not everyone is our match made in heaven. Therefore, we only accept new clients after an extensive screening process that helps us determine whether we will be a good fit for each other.

1 – Spend some time on Fourth Avenue

Let’s start things by visiting one of my favorite places around! Fourth Avenue.

This place is packed, and I mean PACKED with awesomeness. You can find fun little shops where you can buy vintage/unusual merchandise. Grab a bite in some fantastic restaurants or share a drink with a group of friends, Fourth Avenue has it all.

Depending on the time you drop by, you should definitively look into which events are coming up soon. They are always putting something together, but I can certainly attest that the “Spooky Kids Halloween & Wag-O-Ween” in October is just a delight.

2 – Visit the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

Now granted, this might not necessarily be for everybody. But if you are outdoorsy like me, and you are captivated by the expansiveness of the desert, you should definitively check out the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.

Unlike the regular museums, most of the “exhibits” are outdoors, with over 2 miles of walking paths, 16 gardens, thousands of unique plant-life specimens and more than two hundred different species. All placed around 47 acres of land that are carefully developed and curated.

It is bound to change your perception of what a “museum” is, so is definitively worth checking out.

3 – Take a stroll at San Xavier Plaza

Have I mentioned that this city is very unique? San Xavier Plaza is one of the hundreds of places in town that can attest to that fact.

It is easy to lose yourself in memory or fantasy about a by-gone colonial time when you are walking past the aisle of this beautiful colonial building, and just being in its presence can be awe-inspiring.

If you enjoy architecture, are a religious person, or just enjoy being in contact with historical monuments and other cultures, San Xavier is definitively one of the things to do in Tucson before you leave.

4 – D&D Pinball

I am a child of the 80’s, and so I’m naturally attracted to any sort of throwback/retro place, which makes D&D Pinball one of my favorite spots in all Tucson.

Again, is a little different than the rest of the recommendation on this list, but I wanted to have something for all kinds of tastes, and this place sings to the retro-geek in me. There are dozens of machines spanning many decades, they have areas to sit and chill when you need a break from playing, and the environment is very family friendly.

If you are looking for a new and different kind of things to do in Tucson, treat yourself with a visit to D&D Pinball, then thank me later.

Well, that’s it for now guys!

I hope I have at least piqued your interest and you’ll drop by one of these places the next time you are around these parts, and make sure to also check my list of top restaurants in Tucson Downtown. I guarantee you’ll have a unique and unforgettable experience with each visit.
